Is it the same Walther that I own @ P38 , A PPK . PPKS, because there crap too. if I wanted a gun that stove pipes, fails to fire when needed or a ploymer copycat then its the Same walther your refering too.
Ive carried Berattas Colts Sigs, Glock and Smith for over 25 years and I average 25k rounds a year in my duty weapon. im also a certified armorer in all the above plus Remington and H&K. Personally Im not a Glock fan either. If I was to only have one gun and ditched the 100 plus that I do have it would be a J Frame 357 which will put a hole in your forehead at 75 yds. Try that with the Walther dumbass.

See what I mean

I have a p22 it's fun but it's too finicky and frustrating. Don't let a p22 sour your view of Walther because that's partly the nature of 22lr and umarex makes the p22, not Walther.

To the op, why not a ppq?

Yeah I use a P22 on my next bust.
Try not to shoot yours in the trailer park beforehand.

Actually hadn't seen that one but looking at it online looks like a more updated P99. I would probably go for that one rather than the P99 if I go the Walther route.

Since Walther was bought by S&W their quality has gone down some but they are from junk.

Boxcar, I would love to see you hit a clay pigeon at 75 yds with anything but a long gun. You pick. Clay pigeon will be bigger than a forehead so you should be good. Right?

And what is a Beratta?

If its stationary yes its busted. Moving its a no go. We routinley shoot 8 inch plates at 75 with revolvers. With a Glock aint happening past 25 with consistent results.
Us old PPC guys can rock a revolver or a 1911 not so much with the plastic toys.

If you're going to get a Walther, get a PPQ. Much like the glock, the factory sights suck dick and should be changed immediately. The trigger and ergos are far better than glock's, though.

Mine has probably 5000+ rounds through it without a hitch (except caused by me). I really like it

I know a couple of guys that can ring 6" steel all day long at 75 with a G17

Well I've shot my g26 at around 30-35 yds freehand and have hit clay pigeons.

I would bet I could hit an 8inch plate with a g20 at 75yds with a good rest. I know I can with my delta elite.
I would bet I could with my USP .45 as well.

Delta Elite is the one awesome pistol that I dont yet own. Always wanted one. I was gonna buy one a few years back and grabbed a 38 super in lieu and still kick myself for it.

That guy aint me. Im too old school. With the Beretta, 1911 or a revolver no problem. This younger group is raised on Glocks, I train them and they eventually take off and run with it. They also never mastered several other weapons prior. I just have too much time invested in other platforms for decades.
You get biased over time, especially when your arse depends on it.

Unjustified bias. Things change over time, and if you haven't shot any newer Walther pistols, don't generalize and say they're all bad based on your experience from 30 years ago. If SHTF, I'd choose my PPQ over a M9 or 1911 all day every day

Well since it is a blow-back pistol and is more susceptible to limp writing I am now certain of two things; you don't know shite about guns and you are a limp wrister.
