I have a Mexican Telly Deluxe, I haven't changed anything yet on it,so I woun't give advice about that. There are some videos on youtube about it though, with demonstrations.
You got me interested in this too,the first video I came to,was for the Fender N3 noisless pickups, they sound pretty darn good.

The Fender Noiseless series are a great replacement if you're looking for classic tele tones with the upgrade of no buzz. I also did a Dimarzio Area T installation for a client recently (a Mexican tele upgrade) and I was very impressed with the Area Ts, which speaks volumes because I'm not the biggest Dimarzio fan by any stretch.
My personal tele (Allparts mutt I threw together) has a Rio Grande Muy Grande RWRP pair. Classic tele tones clean with a little more mid and the harsh icy treble shaved a tad. And they get into P-90 territory when pushed. Swiss Army knife of tele tones and more. I adore these pickups.

Thank you, This one is really a mutt It is the Nashville Deluxe Three PUPS with the 5 way switch,The body is solid ash( heavy as lead),it has a rosewood frettboard. I think the neck has been replaced. some things about it are not making sense, but I like it. I just have to play it sitting down.
Yeah, I do want to stay close to that original sound, with just a little more kick maybe,I play mostly country, and will throw some LS in,or something like that.
Do you know what this thing might be,because I haven't been able to find anything else in this configuration. The Neck is clearly Mexican, it has a Mexican serial number on it. Did the Mexican ones ever have the solid ash body though?

I love my Custom Shop Nocasters.

I have a Tele that has a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail bridge & Wilde Bill Lawrence L202-TN in the neck.
I like the combination. I get a bluesy sound with the neck pickup and a good crunchy rock tone from the Hot Rails.

That is one sweet-looking Telecaster!

Although more popular with Strat players, Lace Sensor makes a Tele set. Some folks think it is a little sterile for a Tele, but it's a reasonable upgrade at $160 or so (street price). Fender used Lace as a premium noiseless p/u through the late 90s before they went their own way with Bill Lawrence (and others) for their "noiseless" designs.

Are you implying that's what this is?
I don't understand it having the Mexican neck though,if that is the case.
For playing, there is nothing wrong with it, but for selling,I think it was a damn dumb thing to do.I bought it really cheap.
The body finish is really good,it's better than I have seen on most Mexicans(blood red). The pick guard is the triple layer 1 (face slapping pearl white,12 screws),and fits tight as hell,no buckles anywhere.
I put some locking machine heads on it, and considering doing other mods, depending on what it really is.

There are SO many options.
Fender's 1952 Reissue pickups aren't expensive and they'd be great.

That appears to be it exactly I don't know why I couldn't find that in my searches. Thanx a lot! I got a better buy on it than I even knew. 300 bucks, and had the Fender chain saw looking hard shell case.
