Hey Guys! I am going to the preseason Texans v. Saints game in August. First time visiting, was wondering if anyone had any spots to eat/drink near the Stadium that they could suggest?

Thanks!!

Native Houstonian - wouldn't stay anywhere near NRG personally. Stay in midtown or downtown. Those areas are where the good eats and cool bars are.

Safe travels

I stayed at the Holiday Inn by NRG to take the TX bar. Didn't look like shite to do around there to me.

Not that much immediately near NRG. You can drive over to Rice Village (10 minutes). There are plenty of decent bars and restaurants there to pass the afternoon. I would suggest a parking pass or the light rail depending on where you stay.

The area around the stadium isn't somewhere you want to be after dark
