8 beers in 12 minutes would put you at a BAC between .3-.4, which is dangerously high and 4-5 times the legal limit.

Why does everyone do this?

I always see this quoted in newspaper articles...X passenger vomited in a bar after X football game and was .05 above the legal limit. (And then they end it like that...without adding the most important part...operating a motor-vehicle.)

See you know how to take the reservation but it's the holding of the reservation that's the most important part...same with legal limit - it's what comes after that means something.

There is no legal limit for drinking or running around in circles.

There's a legal limit for operating a motor vehicle. And that's it...and that legal limit is really low...like a beer and a half.

So saying this much above the legal limit for someone running around on a track as a goof doesn't really mean anything.

How did you come up with this figure. For an 180 pound guy, we would expect a BAC level of about 0.20. Obviously this is variable, but it would be nowhere near 0.4, unless one was tiny.
