My family goes every year, we usually are able to get prices much cheaper since we know people. Disney can be an incredible experience or miserable experience, depending on how you structure and do your trips.
Even for adults, there actually is a lot to do. The magic kingdom is designed and of course is a park centered for younger ones. Epcot and Studios offers more for a mature crowd. You can go drink around the world at epcot and experience different cultures which is pretty cool. Studios is more shows, but they do offer rockin roller coaster and tower of terror.
Disney is growing more it seems lately, which is a good thing. Disney Springs is actually very nice. There are lots of different shops and restaurants and other bars. They offer shows and cool things.
Disney world really is much more than going to Magic Kingdom. Beyond that they actually offer a lot of shows and different sceneries for all types of age groups. Go to the water park for the day then go catch a show in the evening.
Being mindful, people who haven't been there before will obviously learn that parks can get slammed at times, which is why its important to pace yourself. Get up early and go knock a bunch of rides and other things out before a lot of people get there. Go grab lunch then chill at your hotel at the pool. You definitely don't need to go non stop all day.
Disney definitely isn't for everyone but I love it personally, I have had a lot of great memories I will forever cherish.
