The facial features matched too perfect not to believe the story.

From an article:

According to information obtained by a British newspaper, the FBI was aware of rumors that the Anglin brothers were in Brazil as early as 1965. Agents were reportedly dispatched to Rio, but found no credible evidence that the fugitives were there.

If they did make it, why is the FBI wasting money chasing leads on two old guys living in another country? I mean seriously? You think two Special Agents really give two shits about apprehending two guys that escaped from Alcatraz 30 years ago that aren't harming anyone right now? I always hoped those guys would leave a letter in a safe deposit box to be sent to a paper when they die detailing how they escaped. I love the movie.

Sometimes common sense is just too easy.

And DB Cooper totally made it.

I want to think they escaped Alcatraz, it certainly is possible but it's hard to believe that 3 career criminals that have been in and out of prison most of their lives would be able to just quit committing crimes with the flip of a switch. Even if they changed their names and moved to South America they would stick out like a sore thumb. I think maybe 1 or 2 of them made it but not all 3 of them. Very intriguing story.

Wasn't the photo from Brazil sent by them to family? I can't remember for certain.
