Floyd in talks with CBS about comeback, rules out GGG

Disappointing. Bamarep ain't dropping coin to see Floyd fight anyone other than GGG. Don't be a pussy Floyd. Y'all are saying GGG hasn't fought anyone. Well, he's calling out supposedly one of the best ever. Who is ducking who?
quote:
Right now, I’m happy being on this side [of the ropes], but I’ve been talking with CBS and Showtime, and you just never know,” Mayweather told Showtime’s Jim Gray on Saturday. “But right now, I’m happy on this side.” “As of right now, some crazy numbers have been thrown my way, upwards of, of course, nine figures,” Mayweather added. “I’m truly blessed, way beyond belief. I’m taking my time, I don’t really know what we’re going to do, but right now, I’m happy being on this side, helping fighters.”
quote:
Evidence that Mayweather is tempted by just that scenario was presented Sunday by ESPN’s Darren Rovell, who reported that, in April, a company owned by the fighter filed for trademarks on “TMT 50? and “TBE 50.” Both “TMT” (“The Money Team”) and “TBE” (The Best Ever”) are phrases that Mayweather has associated with himself, and as for “50,” well, it’s not hard to connect the dots.
quote:
Reasoning that “the window is cracked here a little bit,” Gray pressed Mayweather on some hypothetical opponents. Not surprisingly, if disappointingly, the ever-cautious fighter seemed to rule out Gennady “GGG” Golovkin, the undefeated Kazakh middleweight who many view as the most exciting fighter in the game today.
quote:
Mayweather repeated his previously stated assertion that Golovkin should face Andre Ward, presumably with the latter coming down in weight, rather Mayweather himself going up to a weight (160 pounds) at which he’s never fought. However, he appeared to be more receptive to Gray’s suggestion of Danny Garcia, the 32-0 WBC welterweight champion.

Of course he would, why would he want to come back to get his arse whipped?

GGG would smash Floyd's nose in. Perfect example of why the UFC has surpassed boxing. Too many pussies.

You know who Floyd should really fight? Tyson Fury. But we all know he's a punk so he won't.

50th fight should be in a weight class he's never fought in and against a younger knockout artist?
Seems like a good business decision.

I'm not much of a Floyd fan but he would be stupid to fight GGG and it makes no sense to even ask him to do that. You want a guy at 40 years old to move up to a weight-class he's never fought against a guy who is gigantic by comparison? That doesn't make any sense. Amir Khan making a similar jump at age 29 to fight a guy with knockout power vastly inferior to that of GGG in Canelo is crazy too.
I am in the camp who thinks Floyd is disappointingly cautious with his record, but saying so because he won't fight GGG is just unfair. The opponent we should be wishing for and disappointed because he won't fight is Kell Brook.

Floyd isn't going to fight anyone outside of Al Haymon's stable. Danny Garcia, Adrien Broner or the Thurman/Porter winner would be my guess.
Watch Danny Garcia blow out Andre Berto and Floyd will say "oh look, Garcia is young and hungry and he beat Berto worse than I did....I'm going to risk my 0 and fight this lion"

It will be Broner after all that recent manufactured drama between them
