I've never been to Frenchman street, but always wanted to visit. What bars do you suggest on Frenchman? Also, I had plans to rent a balcony room on bourbon at Four points Sheraton, to people watch at night, so is it safe to walk from Frenchman back to that hotel at night?

The hauned history tour is interesting even for locals. We enjoyed it.

Yes safe. I wouldn't do it at 4:30 AM by yourself though. LOL
I like DBA a lot, but you can kind of just walk around and listen to what kind of music is coming from any of the clubs and go visit what you like.
There is a pretty good outdoor market at night right off Frenchman that I like to take guest to see.
