But I'm sure you're qualified too

Aren't you the same guy who had that PFF melt? Can't let LSU go

move Peat to guard or see if you can trade Armstead for more picks(or players) to avoid having to pay him a huge contract this offseason.

Agreed. He is a legit #3 receiver. Cooks needs a Floyd and a Fitz around him.

Bill would trade Landry to be out of his division in a heartbeat for Cooks.

LSU has nothing to do with this. Jarvis Landry is a better WR than Brandin Cooks.

That's not the point. The point is adding something other than a DT in RD1, and grabbing one of those guys in the 2nd. They don't have to be as good as Rankins, but if they are close to that, you are maximizing the value of your picks and taking advantage of a strong DT class.

And here we go.

Landry is a very good WR with a limited route tree. He has elite, precise route runnijg, but appears to be limited to short to intermediate routes.

That's why he averages ~10 ypc.

I've already shown that Cooks exploded the 2nd half of last season, and he has a much higher ceiling.

And yea, it has everything to do with LSU. Just like your mock melt.

That's a question mark though.

I think it's a strong class in a way but a lot of them are "specialist" with Nkemdiche being the only total package if he wasn't such a frick up. Rankins is probably closest to the total package of motor, rush ability, run stuffing ability.

Trade a top 3 LT in the league for a prospect plus more prospects. Good ole shiny toy syndrome. Always does separate the idiots from the logical this time of year...

Yet literally everyone besides saints homers would take Landry

I still remember the damn comedy gold, I wish I could find these threads and bump them. Fricking assholes said Cooks was better than Beckham, we only like Beckham because he went to LSU.

Landry has better route running, separation ability, hands, ability to adjust to ball, ability after the catch, and competitive toughness. Cooks is better in the 3rd half of the field. Take into account who our QB is and how the offense works Landry fits waaaay better here and is a better player.

TIL that stats are homers.

And yea, this board is a great population to sample from and avoid LSU homerism.

Our offense actually runs best when we can create a route tree umbrella for underneath routes. You need speed for that. Jarvis Landry would complement Cooks very nicely. Could have had both

Antonio Brown is arguably the #1 RECIEVER IN THE LEAGUE. Cooks isn't a #1 RECIEVER AT ALL.

He played a lot better at tackle than guard last season. Tackle to guard isn't an easy transition and not every tackle can do it.

Trade Armstead when? Insanely difficult to pull that off when the Saints end up on the clock and Tunsil is unexpectedly available. Trading him after the draft/for future picks isn't ideal for a team in win-now mode.
