I keep a journal that includes date, temp, sky, wind, weather, water temp and level, location (and time at location), baits used and what worked, and quick notes on trends I've noticed building up, such as that years spawn pattern playing out, late spring, long winter, etc..

I review those notes a few weekends before that time of year the following year and see if it applies, and start from there, capture any changes if things shifted since the previous year, etc..

You sound like you are trying to get fancy though.

absolutely,

I fish saltwater so I track temp, pressure, tide, & moon phase. Been doing for two years now and is finally starting to pay off in seeing patterns.

I do this. not as much as I used to.

I have a 44 day chronicle of fishing everyday out of Bason's in Nov/Dec of 2010.
