Which one would you pick and why? We want pretty blue water, outdoor activities, nice weather, etc.
End of May, early June.
Going with a +1 who's a IRL 8. No pics sorry.

I'll be in Europe all summer as will the lady friend. Just a 4 day break we both have.

Do Salzburg, Hallstatt, and the Salzkammergut Lake region of Austria.

We drove Salzburg through innsbrook to the castles. It was an absolutely georgeous drive.

Interlaken is great. Switzerland might be my favorite country in the world. The people were all super nice and most everybody spoke english. We took a train from Geneva to Interlaken and the whole trip was nothing but amazing scenery

Both are great. If your looking for more extreme outdoor activities then do Interlaken. Love Innsbruck and there would be a lot to do there for a long weekend. Innsbruck has some really nice lakes up in the mountains too.

Someplace to consider for the future is Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Austria
It's very close to Linderhoff and Neuschwanstein build by King Ludwig.
Oberammergau close by is where they put on the Passion Play. The pantings on these buildings have been there for centuries and the locals keep the pant recipie secret.

Great place for a day trip. Wasn't there for the Passion Play but would love to see it one day.

Been to both. As you said youre looking for pretty blue water, outdoor activities, etc. then Interlaken is definitely your answer. Probably the most beautiful place I have ever been.
If its feasible, try to skydive. Interlaken is a consensus top 2 place in the world to skydive. Absolutely ridiculous views.

Go to the top of the Zugspitz when you're there, it's beautiful.

I spent six weeks in innsbruck and visited interlaken briefly. I would go with innsbruck. There is a lot more to do in town. great food and nightlife. It offers the same outdoor activities as well.

Interlaken will be much more of a younger party crowd and is one of the top destinations for sky diving, canoeing etc. It is pretty expensive.
You can do the same stuff in Innsbruck you may just have to take a short train ride. There is some awesome whitewater rafting near by. Stubai Glacier may still be open to go skiing. I spent 6 months in Innsbruck so I am a little partial. Also it is a pretty quick train ride to Munich.
