I think people underestimate the naked part and the effect it has because some the people on the show seem legit with their skills going in and still struggle.

Yep. Everyone saying they like "alone" and "surivorman" more because they show more skills... well they also are fully clothed/have shoes/have thousands of dollars worth of gear on them.
It takes some kind of person to get eaten alive for 21 days by bugs
The bugs and the sun would do me in.
