I saw Todd Bridges on Bourbon Street one night a few years ago. He personally thanked me for recognizing him. True story.

I believe you are mixing 80s race based comedies.

It was George and Weezy Jefferson who lived in that apartment.

Maury Drummond lived in Baton Rouge and was they guy who ran the USS KIDD aground. They couldn't move it so they have tried to turn it into a tourist attraction.
