Check the voltage at the outlet you're plugging into and compare it to the voltage at the breaker which you believe is the beginning of the branch circuit.
You could be plugging in to the very end of a branch circuit and there may be extra loads in the middle of the branch that are also drawing current or dropping voltage. Also check all connections and neutrals in that branch circuit.
Remember, when voltage goes down, your current's gonna go up.

Do you have any problems with your 240 volt appliances? If not it sounds like it could be a problem with your neutral.Corrosion can drop the effective size of your neutral so that even small loads will overload its capacity. Check from your weatherhead to your meterbase and from your meterbase to your breaker panel. Have the utility check the neutral on your triplex service drop.

I've seen instances where squirrels have gnawed into the bare neutral in the triplex service drop.

Electrician drove a new 8ft copper ground in when he did the box.
I called Entergy around 2:45, and they said someone would be here around 4-ish to check it out

Yeah Joe that happens a lot, especially if there's a lot of trees nearby.

I've never seen them chew through the insulation on the hot legs but have seen them chew through the jacket on coax. They didn't leave anything but a bare copper wire.

I'm gonna have to get on the horn with the power company later today
It's a loose connection either at the:
Main
Meter pan
At the mast
At the pole
Doubt it's the main after thinking about it, probably the neutral.

He came and redid the ground connections from the pole in my yard to the house, from the street to the yard pole, and the one connecting the street power to the wire coming to my yard. All is well now
