Family Road Trip-would love suggestions

We are taking a family road trip from BR to Vancouver, Canada.(First stop Dallas renting RV). In the RV stops include: Amarillo, Albuquerque, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Mammoth Lakes (Yosemite), San Francisco, Klamath, Ca (Redwood Forest), Portland, Vancouver, Canada. Any must sees or advice is appreciated!

I had an uncle rent one and drive from Cali to Baton Rouge and back, this was a number of years ago, but he said never again. The gas bill combined with the rental was really high. Something to think about...

Driving from Dallas, it is about the only city of any size to stop for the night after about 8 hours of driving. You can check our Cadillac Ranch which is close to the Big Texan steak house. Palo Duro Canyon is a must if you are hanging around Armadillo for more than a night.
