The person took the 1980 Amtrak slogan too much to heart, America's getting into training?

I can't believe you think they should halt commerce for a football game. One of the dumbest things I've ever read.

I was hoping this was a LF thread about football practice.

Very few organizations have more "power" than the RR's (LSU is not one of them). The RR's are not going to change their schedule for a football game. I have a lot of experience dealing with them.

Hey guy. Figured they would have pulled the plug on you by now, but glad to see you're still being a burden

Buddy of mine in college would jump on the side of the trian and ride it down to tigerland from campus, or vice versa, was always surprised to not read about him falling off and getting run over

Stupidly, we used to do this at the fly at night in the mid 80s.

I'm sure it wasn't the only train that rolled through that shite hole last night.

It's not that dumb. Eventhough it is highly improbable, a derailment of a tank car(s) full of tetraethyl nasty near campus during a home game would be a incomprehensible nightmare. But you are also right that you can't start closing rail lines for special events all over the country. That would be a nightmare too.

In defense of the rail roads, 9/10 they were there long before people built homes, schools and stadiums right next to their tracks.

Isn't that the same thing going on in D'Ville? The RR makes too much noise, but they were there first... Subdivision wants the RR to move.

A kid in Auburn died two weeks ago from getting runover by a train walking home from the bars.

I knew a guy who used to jump on to trains and eat a hit of acid then ride the train until he was done tripping. He had to figure out how to get home.
