Would this album be as good as Appetite for Destruction?

1. "Civil War"
2. "14 Years"
3. "Yesterdays"
4. "Knockin' on Heaven's Door"
5. "Estranged"
6. "You Could Be Mine"
7. "Don't Cry" (Original version)
8. "November Rain"
9. "Pretty Tied Up"
10. "Get in the Ring"
11. "Live and Let Die"
12. "Locomotive"?

No. 2 great covers and I really like Civil War and You Could Be Mine as GnR singles, but those 14 are not as good, as a unit, as Appetite, IMHO.

Music is subjective, but it is what it is.

No song on UYI would have even sniffed being on Appetite. Coma & Don't Cry are the only 2 great songs on UYI.

Don't Cry was pretty much my favorite song when it came out, then when the alt lyrics were introduced, I was pissed. I'm glad they didn't seem to stick.

My probably unpopular take on UYI:

1. If those songs were made by any other band at any other time without the ridiculous sight-unseen sales that those albums had when they were released, they would be listened to once (maybe even just halfway through), discarded and never revisited again. Personally, I didn't allow the mere name of the band to add undue significance and that's pretty much how those songs played out for me.

2. If you wanted to create a prototype for garish, ostentatiously horrible taste in rock music it would be hard to find anything more representative of that than November Rain.
