Went to game Saturday and there are these 4 women a few rows in front of me and my gf. Well the national anthem is playing one of them remains seated with her hat on while the other 3 do stand...one keeps her hat on. Then these 2 kids to my left are sitting so we just stare at them and they get up but one keeps their hat on. Oh later the woman stands up and cheers for a few dunks. How about show some respect for our country by standing and honoring those that have died for our freedom!

This stuff just pisses me off and my apologies for being so long

Was the same around me... 4-5 people to my right never got up for Anthem but did for plays. Same as a couple in front of me. Downright disgraceful.

I'm quite the old a-hole when it comes to the national anthem...I will give mean stares and make comments to kids playing grabass or people being disrespectful. I feel that my service has allowed me to be an old a-hole like that!

I've had that experience before a few years ago at a Hornets game.
Drunk idiot wouldn't stand and made it a point to everyone around him that he wasn't going to stand. His buddies tried to get him to stand, apologized to everyone around him. His buddies were embarrassed enough that they made him leave. I acted like a juvenile and tripped him on the way out as he passed by me. I probably shouldn't have done that, but it really pisses me off when people act like that.

These dipshits don't even realize how lucky they are, that they can be that disrespectful of their country and not really have anything happen to them. That's not a freedom offered in too many countries out there.

Of all things to bitch about you choose people sitting down for the national anthem. why are you so worried about what others do anyway? It has no effect on you whatsoever. Get over it maybe?

To be fair this country founding fathers written a Constitution that was merely based on freedom. So maybe the person was expressing her 1st amendment ?

and i can express myself by accidentally spilling my drink on you as you sit down to express your 1st amendment right.

I know that it's your right to not stand of not recognize it and all. It just feels like your slapping veterans like my grandfather in the face by doing that, and that pisses me off.
If you're that unhappy with this country, either do something about it or get the frick out.

Sounds like two woman in Sect 309 a few years back. Wouldn't stand for the Anthem but would quickly get to her feet to cheer on a dunk.

I'm sure your grandpa would be truly avenged by you spilling your drink on someone like a 13 year old girl.

for starters, i already said i had juvenile tendencies when it comes to that.
second, why is it a 13 year old girl? WHy can't it be a 25 year old affliction wearing tshirt with bedazzled pants and a flatbilled hat drinking a fruity alcoholic drink douchebag, like the one that i had a first hand experience with.
