Basically, nurse practitioners think they are doctors and shouldn't have to practice with supervision. Doctors disagree.

Despite 27 states that have already agreed and passed bill in favor of the Nurses.

Not sure if serious...

Absolutely serious. They can already see patients. They just need a doctor to enter into a CPA with them. Again, I know of a few groups who do this for free.

1) Hi.
2) Please explain how Medicaid has anything to do with this. Nothing in the bill requires the NP to see Medicaid or more Medicaid than other. Medicaid isn't even mentioned. Perhaps you just mean that people in these areas are largely Medicaid. That's possibly true, depending on which area we are talking about.
3) Why do you think an NP is any more likely to do this than an MD? They can already be seeing patients in rural areas with a CPA. The removal of the CPA doesn't create more NPs.
4) if costs of CPAs were made $0 and the LSBME created a website by which physicians willing to be available at no charge for NPs willing to work in rural areas, would you be in favor of or against that?

Man, this discussion always shows serious insecurity in some doctors. Relax, guys.

However, in times of war guess who provides the anesthetic for warriors in the battlefield?

I'll counter- in times of war we reverse triage and don't take care of the ones who are injured and are more likely to die. America isn't a war zone. I disagree with the transitive property in this scenario.

If I threw enough piles of money at legislators, I could get states to declare Bender as the state mascot. Doesn't mean it's in the best interest of the state (which in my case, it always is).

Which one lowers my taxes and lets me keep my guns?

Neither because NPs are subject to the same "Obama coming to take your gun rules" that MD/DOs are, and there won't be any savings because of La corruption.

It's a scope of practice expansion - would let them function as an autonomous MD would

Regardless of who is getting surgery or why........who is delivering the anesthetic?

Military CRNA training sites are some of the most difficult and highly regarding training sites in the country. Have been before Anesthesiologist EVER existed pre World War II.

And if you are for more access to care, with lower prices, and no statistical difference in treatment outcome, vote for the bill.

Well, until they pass legislation where they deserve same pay

They must all be in this thread. Is anything going to be covered on page 108 that wasn't covered ad nauseam in the first 2140 posts?
