Is there not a link to an official .gov publishing this information?

I mean, this took all of two minutes to locate on the Senate's website...

I love the fact that you have made it extremely clear to this website that you either have the reading comprehension skills of a squirrel or you're being deliberately disingenuous (i.e. a douche). Either way, please just shut the frick up and let the adults talk.

Oh, and this took all of two seconds to find:

“Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus,” he said. “You know that, right? Coronavirus. They’re politicizing it.” He meandered briefly to the subject of the messy Democratic primary in Iowa, then the Russia investigation before returning to the pandemic. “They tried the impeachment hoax. ... And this is their new hoax.”

Asked at a news conference the next day to clarify his remarks, Trump made clear he was not referring to the coronavirus itself as a hoax.

“No, no, no.” he said. ”‘Hoax’ referring to the action that they take to try and pin this on somebody, because we’ve done such a good job. The hoax is on them, not -- I’m not talking about what’s happening here. I’m talking what they’re doing. That’s the hoax.”

He continued: “Certainly not referring to this. How could anybody refer to this? This is very serious stuff.”

How many ice cream scoops did Biden get? When can I expect to see that reported and analyzed on CNN? Asking for a friend....
LSU buildings suck and are falling down!

LSU should take a major budget cut by reducing tuition and fees!

Inside Higher Ed Article

College students value a diverse and inclusive environment more than free speech rights, according to a new study on student attitudes on free expression.

The report from Gallup and the Knight Foundation comes at a turbulent time on college campuses nationwide, where students have challenged the principles of the First Amendment -- they have called for controversial campus speakers to be disinvited, and when they disagree with speakers’ message, have shouted them down. They’ve also called for administrators to invest more in diversity initiatives and are demanding clear statements from them against speech they deem hateful.

But what was most striking to Brandon Busteed, executive director of Gallup’s higher education division, was how much students appeared to be critical of social media, despite its proliferation in their lives.

Roughly 57 percent of students thought that debate on political and social issues took place online rather than in person at their colleges (43 percent).

Despite the popularity of online platforms, though, students reported social media tended to stifle free speech in many ways. About 60 percent of students indicated that too many people block others online with whom they disagree -- this is up 12 percentage points from 2016.

About 59 percent of students said people feared being attacked online for their views, an uptick of 10 percentage points from 2016. And 83 percent of students said that it is too easy for anonymous users to post online.
Whichever one would post this thread on the Poli Board.

You don’t say...

Why is one of the biggest clusterfricks in the city never addressed: 12/Airline Interchange.

Causes miles of delays every single day because of people merging on and off the interstate at 25 miles per hour over maybe 50 yards of road.

What's the word on TOPS around campus?

Nothing yet. Still waiting to see what comes out of the regular session in April.

There have been a number of ideas thrown around by the Board of Regents including selling naming rights to TOPS, scaling payments based on academic level (fresh, soph, etc), and increasing retention requirements. So far, nothing has been approved or really agreed on. Don't expect much to change in terms of barrier to entry.

The real numbers and future will come from the regular session.

Administrators are aware of the merit scholarship values and the comparisons to other schools.

From reading your posts, you sound like a huge ignorant bitch.

Bitching about LSU's AD not wanting to move a home game due to the city losing much needed revenue, but Florida's AD said "The game will be in Gainesville on Saturday" last week while staring a hurricane in the face. And when LSU agreed to play either Sunday or Monday in Gainesville, UF wanted none of it.

First the narrative from UF was "The game will absolutely be played" and then changed to "but muh player safety", despite one day earlier telling LSU to fly into an area projected to be hit by a category 4 hurricane.

The sheer stupidity from this board is getting to be too much.

Legally, per Louisiana Civil Code 2715, unless otherwise stated in your lease, they are not entitled to diminution of the rent.

That being said, they're probably just looking to get whatever money back they can to get their lives back in order. Either prorate and send them on their way, or just hold on to the money. Your call.

Art. 2715. If, without the fault of the lessee, the thing is partially destroyed, lost, or expropriated, or its use is otherwise substantially impaired, the lessee may, according to the circumstances of both parties, obtain a diminution of the rent or dissolution of the lease, whichever is more appropriate under the circumstances. If the lessor was at fault, the lessee may also demand damages. If the impairment of the use of the leased thing was caused by circumstances external to the leased thing, the lessee is entitled to a dissolution of the lease, but is not entitled to diminution of the rent. Guy...there are NP schools that are administered online. Only online. As in, they never have to step foot in a classroom.

Pretty sure med schools or residencies aren't administered online.
If I threw enough piles of money at legislators, I could get states to declare Bender as the state mascot. Doesn't mean it's in the best interest of the state (which in my case, it always is).
