Anybody gonna play devil's advocate and argue for the protestors? Or is this just everyone expressing their disgust?

I would never support such weak-minded phaggotry, even for rhetorical purposes.

The protesters or the sorority that caved?

I probably have more disdain for the sorority, tbh. Capitulating to these fricks only emboldens them.

If I make it to the Derby this year, I'm buying a Dartmouth shirt and wearing it there......

Right there with you. The protesters are idiots and misguided, but I have to believe that they've at least convinced themselves that they're doing something noble. The sorority just comes off as cowardly.
You don't stop these people by shouting then down but you sure as shite don't stop them by caving.
As unfortunate as it is, you only stop this by engaging these folks and force them to examine their own positions with reason.

Sooner rather than later, the pendulum will begin to pick up momentum in the other direction. This kind of batshit crazy holiness spiral will not last.

KDE is currently under social probation by the College, and this year’s Woodstock event will be dry.

Don't mind if I do.
The very term "sorority" comes from the Greek for "girl brotherhood" which is in of itself racially discriminatory. The ancient Greeks had little regards for racial inclusion and even forced darker Romans to use separate bath houses (ancient water fountains). This is the root of this millennia long racist tradition of Greek life on campus that manifests itself every year at these Derby parties. The question isn't "should we protest" the question should be "how did we let it get this far?"

Sure, they changed the party theme, but they are still having the party and it is still as exclusive as ever. The themes at these things don't really matter anyway, it's just an excuse to have a party.

Woodstock was pretty wet, if my memory serves correctly.

Protesters of a horse race don't seem very stable.

Damn.
I may need to rethink my annual lawn jockey party.

You're right. The administration needs to saddle up and rein them in.

More shame upon the sorority that caved than the people that complained.

It'll never happen, too many naysayers.
