Not to derail this thread, but is there some controversy about this term? Button-up shirts refer to any shirts where the front is closed by buttons. Button-down shirts refer to shirts with a certain type of collar (i.e., a collar that is buttoned down on the tips).

As for Tyrwhitt, they are decent value, but I think Brooks Brothers (on sale) is a better buy at that price point, as others have said.
