Can I expect to be thoroughly impressed?

Yes you can, even Marky Mark stepped up. Those long tracking shots..mouth water. Such sad moments throughout the film. Asking yourself where do they go from here.
It's like PTA was whispering sweet nothings into the ear of Stanley Kubrick every time they said action
OT: Watched Magnolia for the first time the other night, need to watch again to catch everything but Tom Cruise hit it out of the park and everyone was incredible

A lot of people seem to love it. I think it's ok.

It's kind of a must see for any movie fan. It also helps that it's very good. The firecracker scene is one of the best scenes on film history.

Top 5 movie of the 90s.
Anderson, not totally coked out yet in his career.

It's been a long time since I've seen the movie but I don't remember him saying it this way.

With Sister Christian playing in the background made it really good.

Came here to say this. The rock bottom madness and lunacy of everyone involved in that scene. Wahlbergs wordless acting in that scene is great. Just the face says how did I get here and how funny is this. By the time he says frick this time to go, it is too late and the downhill roll can't be stopped.
"MOTORIIIIIIIIINNN!"
I will never hear Sister Christian again without that scene in my head. That's film making.

It's amazing how that scene captures the anxiety of being up all night doing cocaine, and projects that anxiety onto the viewer.

Probably a top five movie for me.
