Well I went from an Iphone 4 (5 year old phone) to a Samsung Galaxy S5..so it was great. Still getting used to some things but I enjoyed the switch.

Depends on what you're used to in iOS. I didn't realize how attached I was to certain -- mostly minor -- features in iOS when I switched to Nexus, but I don't miss them anymore. Except one. I cannot seem to find an app for Microsoft Exchange e-mail that will chime for each e-mail. It will only chime for the first e-mail, and if I don't dismiss the notification, it won't chime again.

It's a pretty drastic change that it will take you about 6 months to a year to figure out how to utilize all of the capabilities, but as for normal call/text/internet/email, that shouldn't take longer than a week to get used to.
I switched my personal cell about 3 years ago to the HTC One (for the Beats sound). I liked the change for about a year, but ultimately realized that Apple was better. FWIW I still use the HTC for my personal (because I don't want to spend much on a new phone), but my work phone is an Apple and I like it much more.

Eh 6 months seems a little much. I did it to a prior galaxy, was pretty easy. If you're used to moving platforms (I use PCs and Macs and have owned iPhones and androids) you'll pick it up quickly.
Biggest difficulty will be reconciling the beautiful hardware with the kindergarten UI.

everybody who switched, would you ever switch back to Apple?
Posted on 4/5/16 at 3:45 pm to CBandits82
I never will. Switched about 6 years ago.

I did and went back. I'm more of a camera whore than anything, so come my next upgrade I'd probably go with a different phone if the camera was head and shoulders above the iPhones.

My wife is Mac for everything but phone, she has gone back and forth, but loves her new s7 edge and says she isn't going back to iPhone. We'll see.

Hopefully you have a better experience than I am with my POS S6.

Not being able to send and receive large pictures/videos without it shrinking to the size of a dime or so pixelated you can't tell what it is and no FaceTime depending how much you use it.

Nope. Never going back.

You'd be surprised how many people don't know they can't use "FaceTime" (used as a generic word for video calling nowadays) on non-Apple devices
