Anyone know how he's doing? Googled but didn't see anything about it.

Will have MRI but at best Mainieri says he probably won't pick up a ball for 6-8 weeks or so.

If it's a tear, I hope they don't wait to do the surgery. Dr. Field is great and a full rehab can be as little as 10 months these days.

I don't think there is a certain diagnosis yet. Per his family, the MRI is tomorrow morning. He's still in pain which isn't good.

Yeah the MRI is scheduled for tomorrow morning. They are figuring a tear by the amount of pain he is in and the way it happened. Wish the best of luck to the kid, has to be rough. Also, terrible for the team he was probably one of our top 3 arms out the pen.

Holding out hope it's not a tear. He was having a good season. CPM has a lot of good things to say about him and rightfully so. He's a great kid and he and his family are such huge LSU fans/supporters. Good people.

He's done but it does appear we may get Riley Smith back and hopefully Latz can contribute as well.
This team will likely have to go on the road for a regional and offensively is not good enough to fall into a loser's bracket situation so pitching will have to come to the forefront and Cartwright was that guy that could start a regional game if necessary.

it's never good when you "feel something pop".

Hope everything works out for him.

MRI didn't go so well I'm assuming?

I'd say he's our best arm out of the pen. With Gilbert being a close second, but it's hard to compare the two.

If there's a silver lining, it gave Bugg the opportunity to prove that he is a great reliever who just had a bad start to the season.

Thanks for all the concern and kind words. Alden is in the MRI right now. We will know this afternoon the extent of his injury. Please pray that it can be fixed and that he will comeback better than ever.

Thanks

Mark
