When we sold my grandmas 1998 Corolla after she passed, it had just over 20,000 miles on it

Who buys your new tires for you when you wear them out 40% earlier than necessary?
Not trying to argue, just curious where you get 40% from? On a FWD car & assuming your alignment is OK the fronts will wear faster but the rears will last longer. I've never done it, but I image if your alignment was ok that you could never rotate your tires & just buy 2 new ones when they go bald it would be no worse than a wash on a cost basis.
In before FWD cars are trashy.

I bought the lifetime R&B on mine. I take it about once a year. Only put 7-8k on it each year. Get the oil changed every 4k and every other oil change I have them rotate and balance.

Front tires will have uneven wear regardless of FWD or RWD.

Yeah I actually do realize that. I feel the fronts wear even more on a FWD because those tires aren't just turning, but are also the ones with power & not the ones on the back just rolling along.
