I started using Heidel for my chef storage, Glish is my alchy storage, Velia is wood/rock/beer making storage (using 100+ beer/day for my crew). Just beer alone got me to apprentice 7, so far today has been 8 hours running around getting and turning in cooking quests with a couple Glish alchy too.

I need to either afk fish or slay an entire area now to break the tedium lol.

Found a new fishing spot near Northern Cienaga.

Pretty fast catch rate.

How difficult is it to tame/train horses?

LINK

Thats a pretty good guide that deals with all things horse. Taming is an easy minigame. I just tamed enough T1s to build up my base of horses. I hardly ever go taming anymore but it does raise your training faster than running horses does once you get passed Skilled.

Soooo, Wednesday AM downtime is release of the Blader/Plum....

How many are rolling one out? And, are all aware of the 24 hour char deletion period? Need to free a slot for new type? Delete on Monday to play it safe.

I held a slot open for this Blader release. After playing zerker a bit, thinking probably will delete him and roll a ninja when that gets released (probably mid May at current release rates).

I'll be rolling a Blader

Wish I hadn't started a berserker. But I'll buy another spot before I delete him. Gonna roll a wizard, Blader, sorceress, Ranger, and berserker

I *finally* found a lead node to invest in. Next I need to find Tin. Spent this morning getting a few exploration nodes connected so I could get some of my workers on that. Next up is to get some new Heidel based workers I think, but winning the amity game without a bunch more knowledge is difficult...so gotta explore more lol. May just say frick it and take my chances with a random worker from the worker manager.

How does the Amity game even work? Is there a strategy to it?

each conversation has a goal listed. that goal is always random, so sometimes you'll get really unlucky (fail to spark a conversation 5 times) and other times it's really simple. The more knowledge you have about the subject the person wants to speak about (farmers of velia, for instance) the better equipped you are to win the round. Playing the Amity game with certain NPC's will open up new quests or buffs or other knowledge. On the Farms playing the amity game with the workers (500) will allow you to purchase their contract for 15k but they are a gold tier worker (but can't go any higher) so they're a hell of a lot stronger than your run of the mill hired workers.

Saw That

How do I know this? Is this what those random conversations are you have with the specific NPC?

I see stats on the character wheel within the mini game, but I can't figure out how they interact with the game itself.

I'll have to do some reading when I get home I guess .

it's basically a list of people you need to meet/interact with. When you meet someone knew you always get a "your knowledge of soandso has increased" or something similar to that. I have a write-up earlier in this thread about the specifics of the amity game if you want to go back and look at it.

I'll track your post down.

I also found a site online (via phone since work blocks gaming sites), that gives mathematical breakdowns for it as well.

I'll post when I get home later today.

Here's a Amity mini-game calculator tool Named: Tools it kinda trivializes the whole mini-game.

Right by the NPC in the mini-game it gives you the 1st 2 inputs, the next is to the top right on the mini-game (like goal is Max Favor of 42 or consecutive failures to interest of 3). Then just follow the list it generates.

If you are missing some of the list generated inputs that means you can add some energy through knowledge looking to chat up that npc. And you can try to sub by looking for similar stats as the list gen'd. Kinda helps learning to understand the stats thing.

If you feel confident with the particular amity npc you can go up to 2x "continue" for your energy investment. Fail once of the 3 tries and lose all gains though. Like usually around 2 energy for 1st Amity mini try. You can continue if you get that right (say, +50 amity) for zero additional energy (say, another +25 amity for total +75 only spending 2 energy). The 3rd try you can lose all or add to + for your original 2 energy. Using the tool I have gotten to 500 amity in 3 energy investments.

Nice!

I'll have to try it when I get home.

I wasn't sure if I would love or hate this game. But it's coming to the point where I can't wait to be done with whatever it is I'm doing so I can get home play it.

Im not sure if I am enjoying the game or not either, but there is so much to build up that I just cant quit.
Got my hands full with horse breeding, fishing, and expanding nodes that I dont have time to do any sort of combat or grinding.

I finally had to grind...the 30ish contribution and energy I had "amassed" in 20 levels was no longer cutting it. So I took the time this weekend to really grind out some exp and quests and I'm sitting at a much nice 60ish/50ish split now. I really don't enjoy the beserker that much, but I enjoy the crafting and all of that part of the game so much that I'll happily grind some experience just because it means I can better do what I want (work on building boats to fish in, lol)
