LSU outhit them in 2 of 3 games. Even with the lopsided first game, the total hits on the weekend were within 1 of each other. This was on the road with a very young team. Things need to improve, but it's closer than you think.

Yep. LSU doesn't struggle to get baserunners. They struggle scoring runs. A big part of that is inexperience. I'll give Cano a pass on skill development to manufacture runs because the team is young. Mainieri will never be a reliable situational manager.

Great point.
If our pitching can hold opponents to say 3 runs/game (realistic?), it allows CPM to shape his offense around scoring a run here-n-there as opposed to getting into a track meet which this team is not geared to do (at present).
I thought everyone except Bugg pitched pretty good this weekend.
