Breastfeeding is popular in media again

Because most good doctors advise breastfeeding over formula. Which makes sense.

Helps new mothers learn how to breastfeed their baby safely, increase milk supply, and generally anything and everything associated with it.

So they should go run and hide in the bathroom or cover themselves with a blanket
We can debate that issue, though I do think bathrooms for any sort feeding seems like a bad thing.

Let me start by saying the poster you were seem to specifically addressing people who post these pics on FB, which does seem to be more about attention seeking (but I guess the way peopl always post food, they may be starting the infant out down that trail ).

The point of going to a private place/covering up does have more to do with what other people fell uncomfortable with but that is true of most social norms and it is not a bad thing. And as I said in a previous post, adolescent boys everywhere applaud your dedication to whipping out a boob in publc (not to mention adolescent minded men, many examples of which are in full display on this site)

You and all those like you are complete zeros.

And this comes off as the breastfeeding Nazi attitude. "If you don't agree with my opinion, your worthless."

Hopefully that is not true about you, but it does come off that way.

You don't see very much with breastfeeding. The nipple is covered by the baby. What you do see is about the same as what you get with a revealing top.

Also a fav of adolescent boys .

I think that is true once the baby is latched on but each mother and really each baby is different at the outset of breast feeding.

I am pro breastfeeding, i just think there is a way to accommodate everyone's sensibilities on this. Large public facilities, like malls and such should provide area's to allow mothers to privately breastfeed, preferable quiet because that often is helpful for the baby. Just my opinion and I probably am a little old fashioned in my beliefs.

Marginally.

They can be helpful but they're overbearing.

The lactation consultant I had the pleasure of dealing with while my daughter was in the NICU was quite a kook. It was basically a job where she could profess her opinions, not facts, to vulnerable new mothers. I just pretended to listen to her bullshite opinions, nod and smile, then did what I knew to be best for my daughter. That's the best way to deal with those kind of bitches.

I guess wet nurses don't exist any longer? I always assumed "mammies" were called such because they nursed other people's children and their mammary glands is how the name was derived.

Seriously why do you hate nurses? Any thread where there is a mention of nurses (nurse practitioners, etc) you come in and spew your venom calling all the nurses bitches.

Not reading 5 pages...

Anywho , men like boobies, the more public breastfeeding the better. My SIL has awesome boobs that I got to see. My other SIL puts on the burka when breastfeeding #frustration!
