Garrett Temple locked him down. Probably my favorite LSU basketball moment ever.

Tyrus Thomas made a name for himself this night. Wow can't believe it's been 10 years already. Time flies

Would've been great if Gonzaga had held on against UCLA. We would've made JJ Reddick and Adam Morrison cry in back to back games. Then we would have embarrassed the Gators and that ugly bitch Joakim Noah in the national championship game. We would have basically shite on all the top players in the country. Acie Law, Lamarcus Aldridge, JJ, Morrison, then ending with a trifecta of Noah, Brewer, and Horford. It could've been so glorious.

Sometimes you can remember where you were and doing when an event occurred.

This is one of them for me.

Just a great run with an incredibly disappointing ending.

They couldn't do anything to stop Iona in the first half in game one. A&M looked like they were going to upset LSU in game 2 until Darrell Mitchell drilled a deep 3 (objectively, it really was a bad look). Then Duke came along. I think everyone was just on pins and needles waiting for Duke to make a final run late to knock out LSU. They never did because LSU's defense and rebounding was just too much.

At that point I knew that if LSU could just sneak by UCLA, there was no way Florida was beating LSU for a 3rd time. Game 1 was at UF. Game 2 was in the SECT without Tyrus Thomas. Game 3 was going to have Thomas playing at his peak for the national title. Sadly, UCLA and their willingness to defend shut down Brady's lackluster offensive coaching. That night was probably as disappointing as I've ever been watching a LSU game.

First time we played them was in the O Dome, second time was without Tyrus. We would've shite on them.
