Odom had OK handles but was more of a half court ball handler. Simmons is more a full court end-to-end handler. They are pretty different.

As for Giannis vs Ben athleticism, i just feel Ben has another gear with the ball. As leapers, they are pretty similar. Giannis' 7'4" wingspan is a difference maker but i dont consider that part of his athleticism. Simmons has a wing span that matches his height.

Ben looks more natural with the ball and has a lot of more polish than Giannis.

Giannis is so raw, I don't think anyone really knows what he is yet. He's been a revelation with his new role, a role Ben should be able to perform in the NBA.

they're actually built a lot differently.

giannis is much much much springier and longer than ben. ben is a much better natural passer and has a higher IQ. but the combo of length and explosiveness for giannis is off the charts. ben isn't really a leaper. i think he's an above average athlete for his size and position but giannis a freakish athlete. ben is more freakish from the footwork, fluidity, coordination, handle, court vision perspective.

giannis is looooooong. like block people from the baseline type long. like dunk in traffic off of a eurostep type long.

ben is great. but lamar odom without the scoring is a much better comparison for him. another comp for ben would be lebron when he first entered the league, without the crazy athleticism.
