I deploy at the end of the month for two years. I met this woman about a week ago and we went out twice and sealed the deal of course. I told her the day I met her when and for how long I'm leaving. I have appointments every day this week and am packing my gear up. Extremely busy week.
I told her I probably won't see her until this weekend. Her response, "I didn't realize how big of a jerk you are and don't worry about seeing me again. Good luck in the desert".

There is a famous youtube vid of a guy sharing all his voice and text messages from his girlfriend while he was out of the country. He told her before he left there would be no service.

They get crazy with this. My GF knows I'm at work and every time I say I'll call or text when I get a break. Yet never fails I'll have 4-6 messages freaking out because I didn't respond.
