Basketball is a solid 3rd sport in Louisiana. Football is bigger than every other sport combined. So no one really gives a shite who wins the other sports. Alllllll of this was about 2 schools.

bullshite. Where have you been? The recent split vote didn't have anything to do with football.

Cant wait for the select schools to pull out of the LHSAA. The non-select schools will be begging for them to come back in two years

Double the money. Why would the LHSAA want that? Shitty teams that never made it to the promised land without the split getting to vote on the chance to do the same with their shitty other teams? Yeah, it had NOTHING to do with football...

Maybe inner city schools with shitty fanbases. Private schools aren't needed to support athletics in this state except Baton Rouge and Nola.

No. No they won't. As I've said over and over, most of the public schools in the state don't depend on the privates for a damn thing and don't give a flying frick if they stay or go.
But the lege is going stick its beak into this and make everybody belong to one organization.

IDK about Baton Rouge, but if you look at the inner city schools in Nola's schedules they aren't relying on private school money either. Most play other successful inner city schools, or rural PUBLIC schools for their gates.

try again.
Only places it doesn't affect is Central, Zachary, Denham, West Monroe, Ruston. This split will kill the LHSSA and again the non select schools will be BEGGING for the select schools to come back.
And Zachary and Central didn't vote for the split

Explain this one to me in another way. Football was already a done deal.

And every other school north of I-10. The NOLA-BR myopia on this board is quite astounding. There's a whole other state out there beyond your city limits.

Maybe there is, but just watch what happens to the LHSAA when the private schools leave. It is done.

The River & Bayou, as well as SWLA would be just fine also.
What schools do you think NEED private schools? Name some.

He won't be able to name any that aren't in BR or NOLA because they don't exist.

I don't keep up with Baton Rouge much, but like I said the struggling programs in NOLA rely on playing the successful inner city public schools as well as playing the rural public schools.
You don't see the Clark's of the world that need money on the Catholic league's schedules. They're playing bayou/river teams and NOLA public schools that bring fans.

Every public school in Ouachita Parish packs the stands. Hell our junior high programs play in front of packed stands.

The craziest thing in this whole arguement from the privates is how the publics have to have them. They don't have to have anything besides your tax dollars and they will continue to get that.
