Johnny Jones has the best 1st 4-year record of any coach in LSU Basketball history, and Tiger "fans" want him fired. What a joke! I was screaming for Trent Johnson's dismissal, and I got thoroughly criticized on here for that. Now, the genius LSU fan base want Jones fired with the success he has had rebuilding a defunct program. Pathetic! Too many high expectations. Ben Simmons is an individual performing player. He is not a team player. I want him to go to the NBA immediately so he can get away from LSU as fast as possible. There has been no attention to the LSU team, only to Ben Simmons. Simmons is way overrated, and it shows in his performances as of late. Keith Hornsby is the heart of this team. Antonio Blakeney is a much better player than Simmons. Simmons is no Chris Jackson. Simmons is no Shaquille O'Neal. Simmons is a flop in LSU Basketball history. Johnny Jones and the Tigers will be better next year because they will play more team oriented basketball without all the focus and attention on one mediocre team player and excellent individual stat player. Johnny Jones deserves a raise and a contract extension. He is far better than Trent Johnson. He is more dedicated than Trent Johnson ever was to LSU. I am proud to be a true LSU Basketball fan, and I still believe in this team and Coach Jones.

Those teams had no talent at 1st. He has had tons of talent and should have done more with it. He will continue every year to have us 18-13 every year.

Yeah I don't know what happened to him. He's worse than Rex on the Poli board. And then he starts a thread like this. Something is going on with him l.

Sorry your autocorrect is so lousy. I fixed it for you. I'm also sorry you think three non-NCAA trips in four years is acceptable. You need to try harder in your trolling attempts.

Sorry, his teams have played poorly for 3 years in a row. They've gotten some wins in a pretty terrible league, but the lack of fundamentals is appalling and has been since he got here.

I disagree. Simmons was too big of a distraction for the team concept and its success. Simmons is young, and he could not handle the pressure and expectations of a leadership role. It was evident in his game play, in his interviews, and in his academic standing. Mark this down in granite.....LSU will be better next year with Simmons gone. Losing Hornsby will hurt a lot worse than losing Simmons. Nonetheless, LSU will have a 20+ win season next year.

We are going to be horrid next season.

For having the word "coach" in your user name you'd think you would know bad coaching when you see it. Guess not.
As far as Simmons, he's a stat filler with great talent. But, he disappears when it matters. Only part I halfway agree with in your post.

170 downvotes and counting, lots of butthurt responses. I'd say the troll was pretty successful.

Johnny won't be fired, unfortunately. After the debacle that transpired this afternoon, he should seriously consider resigning. The team had everything to play for and embarrassed themselves and their coach. They too often appear unprepared. Defense is not consistently good. The offense is many times stagnant. Turnovers occur in droves. After the first 5 or 6 players, his teams have not had the depth to compete in the SEC, especially down low. There are few more clueless game day coaches in major college bb, IMO.
But, maybe I will be able to improve season tickets as I did before Johnson left.

I totally disagree. Again, best 1st 4-year record of any coach in LSU Basketball history. That is a league including Calipari's Cats and Donovan's Gators. There is a lot of work to do, I agree with that. But Johnny Jones is the man for the job just like Les Miles is the man for the football job.

Is Johnny Jones a great coach? No. Is Johnny Jones the best coach that we have had since Dale Brown? That iShard to justify since John Brady led the Tigers to the Final Four. Do I think he has the potential to be the best since Dale Brown? Absolutely. Is Johnny Jones the worst coach in LSU history? Absolutely NOT! It takes time to build a program. Jones has it moving in the right direction. You don't want "microwave" success. You want success that builds and develops over time to have real strength, like Duke, Michigan State, and North Carolina. Give the man a chance to build success.

That's the line that makes me believe this is a troll.
