Why are you giving Spurrier advice on what to do in South Carolina? You think he'll read this?

I wish good luck to our coaches also: Win the SEC Championship!!!

I will hate the man until I die, unless, of course, he wins us a national championship. Then he will sit among the gods.

A good friend of mine is a systems administrator for the Shaw Group. His boss, and good friend, is good friends with the VP, CIO of the Shaw Group. This guy, who has close ties to Jim Bernhard (Shaw CEO), stated that Bernhard, who is a major contributor to TAF, and other prominent boosters have agreed to and voted to buyout SOS's contract with S.C. if Les Miles departs for Michigan. Of course, SOS would have to accept the offer, but apparently, the money is there and LSU is ready to roll if the opportunity truly arises.

Rumors are rampant right now, but my friend is pretty connected at Shaw, so I give this one some credence.

My wife's sister's hair dresser's second wife's oldest son's girlfriend's brother's best friend calls BS on this.

"Clean house"..with the exception of both coordinators, who just draw too much attention/flak because of the position for anyone to be unbiased, this is one of the best staffs LSU has ever had. Coach Lane has a major pipeline down in Fla and from all accounts the OL coach has done a great job with younger, back ups. Their recruiting abiilties speak for itself.

HC: Ole ball coach
OC: Gary Crowton
DC: Will Muschamp
DL/OL: same coaches

That staff would be one of the best in the country.

Del Rio's wife is from Louisiana. He is a graduate of USC not the cocks. Would love to have him, but don't see it happening.

I lived in Jacksonville for 3 and 1/2 years. He would NOT be a good fit for LSU. He is a really good NFL coach, but has no personality and would not be able to handle the media or the constant fan/alumni criticism in Baton Rouge.

Most likely Spurrier is at Duke to visit old friends. But if he is having the slightest temptation to go back to where it started, for whatever reason he may have, do you think we should spend even 5 minutes considering the man? Obviously, he is looking to retirement. I smell disaster if he comes. Maybe not for the few years he is here but for the few years after. I keeping seeing visions of the the post-Arnsparger years when SOS is mentioned.
