I've got two more episodes to go in the whole thing.
Joan left McCann. Draper has no reason for being. Everyone is getting screwed. This is getting sad with each episode.

Have you forgotten the previous 6.5 seasons up to that point?
Mad men doesn't lower itself to fairy tales. It's real life where real broken people make decisions and the consequences are real

Wait until you see the final scene...
ETA: I like that you don't think it was depressing that a woman was forced to give up her child, another had an abortion and a guy hung himself in his office.

You should here how Jon Hamm talks about the character. He hate who Draper is. An alcoholic, a cheat, comes and goes to work when he pleases, selfish, etc.
I actually got to a point where I only cared about the scenes where they're working on their ads cause everything else was just depressing

Power through the last couple of episodes. The end is solid.
But I won't lie. Mad Men is my favorite show ever, and the last half season sucked arse. They got away from their bread and butter, which was relationships of the big characters, who have very little to no interaction in the last half season.

Joan is a bitch. She was a secretary with big tits who fricked a guy to become a partner then didn't want to let Don back in after he always supported/respected her.
frick.That.Bitch.

I've never considered MM "depressing". Just raw and real. Matthew Wiener didn't sugarcoat anything for the audience.
