re: Major Louisiana Flood Event

Major flood event is unfolding across N. Louisiana with another 10"+ rain possible in some areas over the next week. Some places may end up seeing over 20" of rain...
The models have really struggled with this system, esp. with timing and placement of storms but there is a chance of svr weather today

Idk shite about all those weather paths and graphs...but what I do know is it's raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock right now in bossier.

My rain gauge shows around 8" so far in North Bossier.

Apparently anyone outside of NW LA thinks this thing is over and was a flop. Meanwhile, this thing has another 3 days of rain in it for LA.

I live in NW Houston and we were hammered pretty good in the early morning hours. Corpus Christi is getting smoked right now and that rain will be in Houston by Noon which puts in in NW LA maybe around 5 to 8 pm tonight. It doesn't look to be dissipating either.

It will be, unfortunately. Like South Carolina potentially bad, at least from an accumulated rainfall total standpoint.

Some sad images coming out this morning and a lot more rain to go. Really a bad situation...
Posted on 3/9/16 at 9:25 am to rds dc
We had 10" in our neighborhood as of 7 AM and probably have gotten another 1-2" from this last round after that. This is going to be rough for the area.

Would you mind posting some sort of updated rainfall projections? Like something from the NWS, not The Weather Channel or some bs.
