Ride a bike down lake shore. Bike paths through the beaches.....cross over and ride through Lincoln Park and the zoo.

Friends of ours used to live in that stretch across from an old Sinatra rib joint haunt, The Twin Anchors - which has a surprising gruff charm. Also nearby are classic cocktails at Barrel House, a quintessential dive bar Rose's Lounge and the classic Old Town Bar. Make sure you catch a Second City show while you are in the area.

A short ride off in the Fulton Market area is The Publican - excellent if you are with a group for dinner and is near the top of my short list for the best brunch I've experienced.

Find your way to Goose Island pub for decent pub food and beer that they don't bottle. I think they had about five different stouts on tap the last time I was there.

Alinea opens back up after March. I haven't been there but it's been on my bucket list for awhile. It's touted to be one of the best in the world.

I don't think my hotel is too far from Goose Island. I'm a fan of their beer so it will be a must stop for sure. Probably going to try Pequods for deepdish, that's what's been recommended to me.

Yup, gotta do deep dish. Uno's is nominal and they have various locations. Good luck getting through two "slices".

Also, DO NOT put ketchup on a hot dog in Chi-town. That's a huge faux pas.

Speaking of hot dogs, how bout taking in a game at Wrigley?

The week I am going the Cubs are out of town. If I can talk my sister into it I might just get an Air BNB and leave a few days before planed because the Cubs play the Diamondbacks on that Sunday. I'll atleast go for a tour there.

Tbh goose island was pretty meh. Doing the tour looked like it would be worth it though. Just going there and drinking I would pass.

I second the purple pig and girl and the goat. For girl and the goat, get reservations early. Talking a month or two in advance. It's worth it though. Tete Charcuterie is also a very good food spot. I would suggest reservations for everything.

Taking an early walk down the lake is cool when the weather is nice.

I'll add some drinking spots when I get on my computer
