Simple poll here. If you like Seth Rogen, hit upvote. If you don't, downvote.

He plays the same character in every movie. There's no creativity in his projects. It gets old.

Imo rogen and his crew probably don't get enough credit they have made A LOT of funny movies over the last 10 years or so

Adam sandler now that's somebody worth hating his movies don't even attempt to be good or funny

I find a lot of his movies funny, but he himself is not very funny to me. He's probably a good comedy writer, but I don't find hardly any of his performances funny.

Or, or, or is the floor on the shite? Is what Kiekegaard would say.

I personally don't think he is funny at all. I am just curious as to what the rest of the board thinks about him.

You couldn't of possibly hated knocked up and Superbad at the time they came out

I can see how he has grown stale tho

I agree he's a good writer. He has a lot of funny lines but he's nothing special at delivering them. I don't dislike him but that grunting shite he does gets old real quick

Honestly I think one of his best performances was in Observe and Report. I'm not saying it's his best movie, but I thought he gave a great performance.

Superbad is in my top 5 comedies. Love that movie. And I forgot how good Knocked Up is til watching it again recently. I upvoted - Rogen isn't one of my favorites, but he's consistently funny and his involvement almost always means a good, funny movie.

I couldn't possibly hate Seth Rogen based on Superbad alone. That was all him and Evan Goldberg.

Also I love Pineapple Express, This is the End, and 40 year old virgin(has a small part but he's got some funny lines)

He's a better writer/director than actor.

I like most of what he has done but he is somewhat typecasted for good. No matter what roll he plays, I see the smart arse, sensitive stoner and nothing else.

It's 100x more difficult to be a good comedic actor than it is to be a good dramatic actor. See Adam Sandler for example. He's been excellent in the few dramatic movies he's been involved in (Punch-Drunk Love, Reign Over Me) while most of his comedies have been unwatchable piles of shite. So I'm usually very hesitant to criticize comedic actors because it's an unbelievably difficult field to be successful in. Someone like Bill Murray for example should be mentioned up there with the De Niros and DDLs of the world. Being a successful comedic actor for over 35 years is every bit as impressive if not more so than what De Niro and DDL has done.

Same actor in every fricking movie, I'm pretty sure nearly 50% of his dialogue in The Interview was, "Shut the frick up!" and god do I wish they would have kept that movie banned. He was good in movies like Pineapple Express and Superbad because that was before many knew much about him. If he released them today, you'd just be saying, "Oh Seth Rogen you quirky stoner".

He's an actor that's constantly evolving and changing in every movie. I like him.
