I guess weed is just so addictive that you can't quit right?
You know what you can't ever quit? A criminal conviction and incarceration.

Let's be realistic, spending on LE in Louisiana wouldn't decrease by a dime. Very few people spend time in jail solely for pot.
I'm not sure if you're familiar with my posts(not that I would expect anyone to be) but I'm pretty open about my love of marijuana. I know several people who have been caught with possession and distibution and not one of them has spent more than a night in jail. This includes an individual traveling with several pounds over state lines.

Just because weed is legalized doesn't mean people will start valuing weed over a job
The people who would fail an employment drug test are already failing them now anyway
It's like when anti weed people say "I don't want my employees showing up to work high everyday". Alcohol is legal and people don't show up drunk to work. Why? Because they know they'll get fired

Ill answer that. No they werent.
Go spend any amount of time in a court room and you will see plenty of young black males in there for pot.

I want legal weed in this state and it would still not be enough to plug in the budget hole and would only be a niche economy at best here. Nola would sure as shite benefit from it though.

Yep, they are using the same model as Colorado, retail in former medical dispensaries only to start so they can vet new retailers.
Not former, they still sell medical herb and treats in the same store. Some have separate rooms for medical and recreational some are all together.

It's low hanging fruit for a quick revenue stream. That's the usefulness.

I think pot is a sin. The Bible says so and you will go to Hell if you smoke it.
At least that is what the liquor lobby says.

I was asking if the people he knew that didn't get into any real trouble for pot were white.

It doesn't solve the problem but can put a small dent in it. Tourism will surely benefit. If we could rake in an extra 100 million a year off of it then that's a good step forward.

So you are saying blacks never have to do even a night in prison for weed? I bet they are happy to hear that!

Ill assume they were white. He is a college kid who constantly reminds everyone on here how much money his family has and how pretty much the whole world is beneath him.
