Simple fact of you are on welfare u can live a very comfortable life.

Bull. Prove it. How do you define comfortable? People on welfare live stressful lives. Do you actually know someone who LIVES on welfare? I doubt it

I stood in line today behind a woman who was dressed in normal looking clothes, was reading texts on her new iPhone and pulled out a Louisiana EBT card to pay for her crawfish. She left in a late model Malibu. She looked pretty comfortable to me.

My SIL lived on it for 2 years. Definitely ate better than my family. Hell she even dropped off excess gallons of milk she couldn't drink before it expired. I was amazed at the quality of life she had. Had full blown cable something I cut the cord years ago go save on. I have net 10 wireless her and her bf each had the latest smart phones on full blown att plans. They rented a house not much smaller than mine as well. They lived like that for a good while until she left him because he still had money left over to become a drug addict.

Overall their qaulity of life wasn't much different to my own and my families income was close to 6 figures higher but we dont waste money either.

Oh yea and her kid even attended the same daycare I pay 9600 a year for in the same class. My wife drove a base model camry at the time and she drove a 30k car. My son wore generic diapers and had generic wipes and her son only wore name brand. Dont even get me started on Medical bills. I could write a book. My wife gave birth with no issues and cost me 3k. Her son was in icu for a week after birth. No bills. Nada. My son went to the Dr only for check ups and shots and 2 times he had ear infections. Her kid went to the doctor after every sneeze. I could go on for days.....

Had to go on welfare while my wife was in grad school. I was a stay at home dad and we had saved enough money before kids for me to not work for 5 years while she went for her PHD. 2nd kid had some medical problems and I had to go work part time at UPS loading trucks to help with healthcare costs. Coming up for a major surgery and we had already exhausted all of our savings so we went on welfare for the medical coverage. Welfare office said if I quit my part time job I was elgible for more money in welfare and free medical then I was making slinging boxes.

Ended up getting just shy of $900 a month in food stamps with free medical (no copays). Went to the same doctors as I did when I had medical coverage through the company. We got so much money in food stamps we had thousands of dollars on our EBT card when we turned it in back to the state (after graduation). We couldn't spend that much money despite shopping at Wegman's (equivalent of whole foods).

On top of all that we also got free shitty preschool for our oldest. They also offered child care (we didn't take) and help with winterizing our home (didn't take).
