I think Ben Affleck has a chance to be better than Bale as Batman after watching that.

Not to be gay, but i like my super heros to look like super heroes physically.
Henry Cavill is one jacked up dude. i can believe he's Superman.
Christian Bale, while he was a great Batman, looked too small to be Batman.
6'4" Ben Affleck is more like it to me.
Cavill and Affleck will always look like the biggest guy in the room as Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent. Bale didn't look that much bigger than Anne Hatheway at times on the big screen, considering he's only an inch or two taller than her.

They couldn't have picked better people to portray Thor and Wolverine as far as physique goes. I think that makes a big difference in how likable the character can become, especially with the women viewers obviously.

Every woman in the world complained about how ugly Kylo Ren was in Star Wars, and he's not even a good guy. People expect there Superheroes to be big, handsome and ripped.

I like Bale because he does the whole "frat boy facade but is really an emo underneath" really well.

I'm in this camp as well. We're talking Superheroes here, and while it certainly HELPS if they are quality actors, it would be better to have a less talented actor who LOOKS like what we expect Batman to look like, than say Daniel Day Lewis acting the shite out of the role.

My only complaint, and it's been this from the start, is that Affleck is so well known that, for me at least, it will make it hard for me to believe he's Bats and not Afflek playing Bats. But that's a minor nit. Physically, he's the best fit yet...and they clearly have the movements and ferocity right this time. Super happy!

As for Cavil, I'm less impressed. Going off what you said, he's ripped up...but he's kind of short comparatively at 6'1" and I'm guessing they're fudging that, and they didn't even try to make him appear taller with tricks.

In every other way, he looks the part...but Supes ought to be as tall or taller than Batman.

Think Chris Hemsworth towering over Natalie Portman in Thor. That ought to be Superman towering over Lois.

And both ought to tower over most everyone...except for Diana.
