Pretty sure we are headed down to Cocodrie or PAC with the kayaks tomorrow morning, is anyone down there that can give a report on the water level? Is it pretty low? I know we had a front blow threw a few days ago but the winds turned around since then and am curious of what to expect.

Water has been higher than average so far this winter. Hearing of some hog trout in PAC right now. Caught within sight of the marina.

Also, check out the Lumcon station website. Current (and historical) temp, wind, water temp, depth, etc.

Good info on that site, based on that the water doesn't seem to be too low

Also, any info on where I could pick up some fresh dead shrimp on the way down to Coco Marina?

Captain Allens always has fesh shrimp.
I fished today and actually poled my boat for reds for the first time. About 10 minutes in I walked right off the poling platform into the water. I had to strip butt naked and borrow clothes from others in the boat. Fishee freeballing with no shoes or socks on the rest of the day. I'm sticking to the trolling motor from now on! FYI , its cold out.

+1 for Cecil's. Might see you there. We'll have 2 white kayaks.

Water is a bit low but nothing crazy. Might just be low tide.

We have all done it. At least you didn't take a digger onto the lower unit.

Just west of sulphur mine holds some big trout on the flats this time of year. Especially when it warms up in the afternoon

Just getting into kayaking, headed to PAC for the fourth time tomorrow. How did y'all do today?

Last week was really low and dirty.

Not much luck today. 4 reds between 2 people and had to work for em.

Saw a bunch, just spooked them before we could cast at them.

Sorry to hear that.
If my head isn't hurting too bad I'll be down in one of those motorized units tomorrow.
Little to no tide, but it's MG here so it's a pass.

2 white pro anglers? Did y'all launch at Coco? If so we were pulling in the parking lot this morning as y'all were heading down the canal. We went the same direction out of the marina, suprised we never crossed paths. We ended with one red and two trout out of four people. It was a nice day to be on the water but tough fishing
