Calling OT mechanics - power steering issue

Wife's car (2013 Honda CR-V) has developed intermittent power steering failure. Just driving down the road and power steering goes out. Steering becomes almost impossible. Owner's manual says turn off / on to fix, and the problem goes away for a period of time. Happened twice yesterday, taking it to shop tomorrow. Any ideas on what's up? TIA.

Check your fluid level.
Refill, then cycle the steering left to right a few times, add more if the level changes.

Probably something wrong in the wiring.

I thought that was the case, but wasn't 100% sure. Hoping it's only a wiring issue. I've seen on some forums that it could be battery related as well, but I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Electric power steering is somewhat new on production vehicles, especially Hondas.
I'm not convinced they have the bugs worked out yet.
Check the crv forums and go from there or see what the dealer has to say.
