It's probably because the staff has been busy putting together the best 2016 class in the country. Geez!

Boys From The Boot is 2/13. We'll likely get a few commits that weekend or the following week.

Since Moses and the Tennessee DB decommited, isn't it just Shelvin and Dinkleman right now committed for 2017?

not to go all rantard on you here, but OSU has 10 commits for '17 with 2-5*s and 7-4*s. I'm not worried at all, just commenting that this is a slower than typical start. The boot weekend should be a good boost though.

why is that dumb?
Because those that blame Alleva don't understand his role and the limits of his authority

Are you insinuating that they believe Alleva has an actual role in recruiting? They're obviously referring to the poor handling of the Miles situation at the end of the season which left some recruits with a feeling of instability among the coaching staff that is recruiting them. Moses referenced this as a reason for de-committing although I think he was already looking for a reason to open his recruitment back up prior to coaching hiccup.

Divinity only decommitted so that he could later have his moment at the All-Star game. ESPN is a sucker for announcements and putting on the hats.

Moses decommitted before the Miles debacle, and for my money, it's because he doesn't want to go to LSU. He's pretty much locked in on Bama, and by his actions since then, it's very easy to tell.

Davonta Smith looks to be Bama bound.

Who knows with Dylan Moses.

Bruce Jordan-Swilling looks OOS bound with his brother.

No sleep when you recruiting at LSU man.

I think you are missing their point. It's not just to pile on Alleva per se (though there is a lot of that) but it is rather because he attempted to fire Miles and it blew up in his face making LSU llok bad and they are claiming that hurt recruiting. Whether it did or not is debatable, but it is not "dumb" to suggest it did.

Frank was the RC up until like a week ago. We had 2 2017 commits when he left for UTSA and that's what we have now, so his leaving had no impact on the small list of 2017 commits to date.

I would think, the recruiting coordinator has the biggest impact on early commits from future classes while the other's focus on wrapping up the next class. If his mind was on leaving after the past season, maybe he didn't put as much focus on it, just a thought.

Frank took one of the last HC openings this off season. While as it has always been his stated goal to be a HC, it would undermine goals to "mail it in". We had 4 commits at one point, one directly de committed in wake of the Miles fiasco. So really nothing to do with Frank.

No. I'm referencing this idiotic notion:

If you believe he handled it poorly, you don't really understand it.
