Fisher from TBW proposed Jrue and Ryno straight up.
I'm not going to say a Love/Davis pairing couldn't work, but- I'm not up for giving one of our only two players (Jrue) that could be in the long term plans, for a guy that plays the same position as Davis. At least until Davis is able to man the 5 full time. Same thing for our 1st round pick.
I'd do Ryno + Tyreke all day, but I know there's no way the Cavs would do that.

Would you do Ryno, Reke and our 1st? Would the Cavs?
FYI, if AD is ready to play the 5 full time I jump on this deal. I think he's still a few years away from that, though.

There are definitely fit questions. The only reason I even consider it is if I think it gives me significantly better odds at landing 3 top 30ish players. If you don't reel in a star like Westbrook, then you're better off building around Jrue and draft picks.

I still don't like the idea of giving up our 1st, but I guess it depends on where that 1st ends up.
That seems like a good deal for the Cavs on paper, but that depends on how they view Tyreke. We could add all the 1st round picks in the world, but if the Cavs hate the potential fit of Tyreke on their team (which is extremely likely), I doubt they would pay him $11 mil/year, even with an inflated salary cap, to play for them,

Solid point. While there are legitimate questions about fit, the opportunity to land a top player doesn't come around often, especially in New Orleans.

Love is a great player and is system specific. It would be another roll of the dice for demps but losing anderson is tough and he can immediately effect any team.
Anderson reminds me of the Horry type of player for a big team.

Realistically, does LAL want him? They have a few high potential guys and a high draft pick, but none "instant contributors" that Cleveland looks for. They also seem fed up with Julius Randle at times. Hibbert is only on a 1 year contract so they could facilitate him to trade for a heavy contract player (i.e. Love).
Love is a former "star" that has ties to LA and wants to play in LA from former reports and Lakers always love their stars. They get an instant contributor in his prime (27) on a good contract if you look at "future" salary cap. Instead of gambling in the draft, they get a former 26/13/4 player
CLE:
- Send Love to LAL
- Receive Jrue/Tyreke and Ryno from NOP
LAL:
- Send Julius Randle and Roy Hibbert to Pelicans
- Send LAL's 1st round top 3(?) protected to Pelicans
- Receive Love from CLE
- Receive 2nd round from NOP
NOP:
- Send Jrue/Tyreke and Ryno to Cleveland
- Send 2nd rounder to LAL
- Receive Randle, Hibbert, and protected 1st round from LAL

That also seems to assume AD at center full time doesn't it? Why would we want Randle and a 1st more than Love? I would assume the protections on the 1st would mean it's likely a pick in the mid - late teens 2 years or longer from now.

I rather Love over a mid teens pick, but if you're going for the 1st you're demanding a 4-6th for Love.
That still keeps AD in the same predicament he is in now with playing center when Asik and Ajinca are out.
Julius Randle is an interesting player in that he just seems to be a better option coming off the bench playing 25MPG to hustle. Issue is, you then lose a ton of offense and betting on two 1st rounders this year (saying that you get the 4th pick from LAL).
It is a hefty gamble, but realistically I find it hard to replace Tyreke and/or Jrue without having a secondary facilitator not named Cole. Ish Smith on this team would have been an interesting factor since he gives you a better facilitator than Cole coming off the bench if you were to move either guy. Love is an automatic upgrade over Ryno, but does Love come off the bench or does Asik? How would you run your starting 5? Say we send Jrue out.

My bad, I assumed it was a future pick. A pick in the 4-6 range this year makes a lot of difference. Assuming Randle's not a bust you have a useable or flippable asset in him as well. You also have to consider that the Lakers are openly tanking and have Byron driving the tank. That might affect Randle's play some.
Kris Dunn
Buddy Hield
Tyreke
Randle
AD
That would be an interesting starting 5 in a few years, especially if Tyreke's 3 point shooting holds up. His hot start from 3 didn't even last a month last year. We're almost to the end of January and he's shooting 41% this month up from 37.5% in December. Hopefully you could flip him for a real SF though.

Lakers have no pick to give. Sixers own that pick this year or next (top 3 protected) from the Knight/MCW trade.
I don't believe the Lakers can give away 1-3 protections.

I want the Lakers to get the 4th pick so bad.
Would be fricking awesome for them to tank this year with absolutely nothing to show for it.
