Went to High School with him. He was really popular but very humble. It's rocked the community here. Was thriving in college.
Prayers to his family

Holy hell, can't take anything for granted these days.

He was being counted on I want to say he was a starter some.
I follow FCS so when I saw this I knew it was big. F Football though, just a tragedy that will rock an Athletic Department, school, community, and a family.

Damn.
That's a simple but scary procedure. My daughter had her tonsils taken out a couple years ago at the age of 5 and after the doctor was done, it was hard to wake her up. I've always heard it's worse to get a tonsillectomy the older you get.
RIP to that man.

In general, Wu said, the most common post-surgery complications are bleeding, infection and damage to nearby tissue. During a tonsillectomy, for example, surgeons are removing the tonsils, two oval-shaped pads, near the back of the throat. To do so, they must cut or burn away the tonsils, which could lead to a small artery being nicked. Usually surgeons will stop the bleeding by cauterizing it, Wu said, but some people don't clot well.
An explanation about how it can go wrong. This article is from 2013

It's a shame his life was cut so short (talking about player in OP).

I had my tonsils and adenoids removed when I was 18. Strep was embedded in the tonsils and no antibiotics could kill it. Several different and potent antibiotics were prescribed over a four month period to no avail. The doctors said I had no choice but to surgically remove the infections.
It was horrendous.
