Does anyone know how much Hallman and Dinardo made at LSU as well as what Saban got for his first contract here?
Posted on 1/14/16 at 11:12 am to Clark W Griswold
Dinardo was around $600,000. Saban started at $1.2 mil

Yeah I remember 1.2 for Saban. People were freaking out. Wanted to low ball him.

IIRC, Hallman was very cheap, as was DiNardo. In the 400k range maybe....Joe Dean was Mr. El Cheapo
Saban blew the bank up. Again IIRC he was the first or close to first Million Dollar a year head coach. He was top 5 salary when they hired him. Read something about joe Dean telling Emmert that "we don't need to offer a million, he'll come here for less"...Emmert said pay the man

Crazy to think that we paid Saban $1.2 million and that was outrageous, and at this point, Les Miles at $4.3 million is a bargain considering what the other coaches in the division are making.

I thought when Dinardo was here the coach couldn't make more than the governor? maybe they changed that when he was here

Do you think Hallman is set for retirement on what he made as a coach in his career or does he still need to work?
