Can't understand why Tennessee or Baylor would be so highly thought of in advance of 2016. They might turn out to be good...but nothing in 2015 shows me that.

A healthy Baylor team likely wins the big 12 and gives clemson and/or bama a run for their money. Tennessee competed all year and made every game close, including leading much of the time against bama and ou. They will likely win the east and if they manage to win in Atlanta could take it all the way. I don't think either of them actually do it, but they've got a better shot than most.

SEC west rival is putting its fourth NC trophy on the shelf in 7 years, hey Les is a nice guy though.

Newsflash - Miles isn't Saban. No one is. If you're going to compare every LSU coach to Saban, you're going to be disappointed.

Saban loses at least 9 starters and he will continue to out smart coach Miles.

I ask you seriously, Saban is what, 6-3 against Miles? Of those, how many would you say that he was just flat outcoached? I'd say the 2011 Championship game and arguably here in 2015. During that time, there've been some very questionable calls and outcomes in hugely competitive games. We've been on the wrong end of a ton of bullshite during that span and you can't deny that part of it. In 2015 we've now learned that injuries played a much bigger part than we could've ever known.

I distinctly remember how frustrated people were with Saban after that Iowa loss in Orlando. I remember people quoting players as wanting to defect(was it Ronnie Prude?) and saying Saban's time had passed here. Poof, Saban was gone and he ended up at a hated enemy that has perfected the art of cheating and gets the benefit of nearly every call. Is it any wonder they've won the close ones?

Tennessee is gonna win the east next year. LSU at15-1 is not that good imo. Says mediocre to me with all the so called talent we have.

Miles team preparation, game day coaching, and ability to have his team motivated and ready to play in big games is vastly underrated and on par with Saben IMO. Where he falls short of Saben is offense scheme (not adjusting with the times like Saben has) and personnel.

well be negative if you want but Vegas see's LSU on the upswing. Miles is pulling in a very good recruiting class, the offense scheme is looking better, and we ended the season in a very positive direction. I think we are back on track.

Good to know that even Vegas considers LSU to be in the hunt next year to be one of the better teams in the country once again.

While you're in a prognosticating mood... Miles Effect

Then you must not have been paying attention. Tennessee had Oklahoma beat and led Bama late fourth quarter and lost on a fluke to Florida. They have a very good QB and are recruiting well. Tennessee will be legit next year.

You think it's a "very positive direction" to get blown out three straight weeks, and then get a sloppy, lackluster win against an average A&M team, and then a big win over a bad Texas Tech team.

I mean, yea, two wins at the end are nice, but I wouldn't get jacked about those.

personally I wouldn't put money on it, but there must be people who are if the odds are that low. If the line moved to about 25-1 or 30-1, and there was a legitimate legal sports book here in New Orleans area, I would put a little money down on LSU. I feel pretty good about next years team and could see them moving back into the upper tier of teams in the SEC and have a shot at the NC.

Tennessee easily could have beat Bama this year, along with quite a few other "almost" wins before blowing big leads late.
