No, but while you're succeeding at being a smart aleck dumbass, it's the truth.

If this team wins 11 or 12 of the rest of their games, they'll be in. They have the opportunity to boost their resume up with games vs Oklahoma, 2 vs A&M, and @ South Carolina.

The Marquette loss right now isn't as bad as we originally thought neither. They are 12-4 with a huge win over #8 Providence.

If we somehow win 12 conference games, we'll get in because Ben Simmons will bring the star power and ratings.

Thank You Also even though we didn't play as well at Florida, if some of those shots go down we win. That environment was hostile and that team plays D. Victor couldn't handle that big African who was pushing him around big time. Still if Ben gets a 3 point play instead of a walk with under a minute left

We are 9-6.

I am rooting for this team, but we are up and down.

DBeaux you are right. I think this team goes 8-1 at home and 6-3 on the road. Also we come out higher than Jose Vargas and beat OU with Gameday in town

The one loss that still troubles me the most is Wake Forrest

That's actually really encouraging. I didn't think we'd even sniff any projections. It's all in front of us if we can just find some consistency.

We need a 2-0 week this week then A&M becomes enormous.

Honestly, closer than I thought we'd be. It helps that teams like Houston, Marquette and Wake are having good seasons to help the quality of our losses, and we still have some opportunities in front of us for more big wins. I've said before that 11 more wins is our magic number, still believe it.

One of the most shocking things about this bracketology is that he has Kentucky as a 2 seed.

They may eventually get there, but there's no way in hell they're currently on the 2 line.

They are Kentucky and have an RPI of 8 right now

4 of those away games Ls were without Victor and 3 were without Hornsby.

And that type of info will matter to the committee. As we all know, when it comes to marginal team records, the "what have you done for me lately" protocol is in full effect.

I almost started a long thread about our tourney chances, but will decide to just post here.

LSU fans are crazy. Lets just say that. We have lost 1 home game, and only 2 with all of our players. There are 15 games left. Break it down into groups of 3. Go 2-1 every 3-game stretch, that puts us finishing 12-6 in the sec, with a game against Oklahoma in there and the sec tourney. I think if you beat Oklahoma, you're in no matter what. You lose, you need a few sec tourney games.

But also, 12-6 depends on who you lose and/or beat. If you lose twice to a&m, usce, uk, then at Bama, it really won't hurt you. Likewise, if you win a couple difficult road games, you can afford a few lesser losses. Road wins against good compeition>>road losses against bad competition.

I disagree. LSU didn't get any really "good" wins in their non-conf schedule this year as opposed to the West Virginia win last season. That means they HAVE to get some good wins in conf. play. Right now they only have one (vs. UK). If they lose to A&M twice, and also @ USC and UK, the even if they beat OU, I don't think there would be enough to put LSU in the tournament.

One only has to look at last year's A&M team as a barometer. Last season A&M really had no "bad" losses on their schedule. They went 8-3 in OOC play and 11-7 in SEC play (same record as LSU) Yet despite having really no "bad" losses on their schedule (except for AU in the SECT) AND beating LSU twice head to head, LSU made the tournament as a 9 seed and A&M was left out. The reasoning was simple, while A&M didn't lose to many bad teams, they didn't beat any "good" teams other than LSU.

The opportunities are still in front of them, but LSU can't let all of the games against the top SEC teams slip away.

That's why the Wake loss hurts more than you think. It really sucks. We gotta hope Wake keeps pumping to help our RPI. But we're fine when they look at the WHOLE PICTURE AT FULL STRENGTH. If we go 3-0 these next 3, even 2-1 with the road loss to A&M we will be fine. People please don't throw in the towel just yet

LSU has already beaten UK, a very good team. If LSU beats Oklahoma, they can lose 6 games easily, if not 7. Having victories against 2 top 10 teams is enormous, road or not
